The difference between a kids salwar kameez and a kids churidar kameez is the churidar pant. The churidar unlike the baggy salwar tapers down in it's shape like the american leggings and have hooks at the bottom for a snug fit near the ankles. The length of the churidar kameez is usually longer than the size of the salwar so that the tapered bottom portion has a ruffled gathering near the ankles. The churidar pants either have a drawstring or elastic waists depending on the manufacturers design. The girls churidars sometimes have embellishments at the bottom to coordinate with the embroidery work on the kameez.
